SABJ Mentorship Program

The SABJ Mentorship Program is a new endeavor for young African- American aspiring journalists. This is an exciting opportunity that promises many benefits.

Students will have a chance to interact with photographers, reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and sports writers. These professionals will share personal insights and offer valuable information to students pursuing journalism careers.

  • Meet and "connect" with key African-American journalists and job shadow media professionals.
  • Tour local television and radio stations, newspapers and new media companies to acquire new skills.
  • Engage in one-on-one mentoring with African-American journalism professionals and learn how they reached their career goals.
