Media Access Workshop

Media Access Workshop is a series custom-tailored to three community segments: Arts & Entertainment (July), Youth Organizations (September) and Community and Social Organizations (October). Each workshop is held in a computer lab so that participants have the opportunity to produce and fine-tune a 90-second verbal proposal or a concise and compelling press release.

Participants will:

* Meet with local journalists
* Learn about the decision-making process that gets stories published
* Improve their ability to identify the best media resource for various kinds of stories
* Get 1-on-1 coaching from seasoned professionals
* Leave with a template for both current and future use

The workshops are limited to 28 participants to accommodate 1-on-1 interactions

If you are an Arts & Entertainment organization with programming geared to the African American and/or other communities of color, click here to register for the July 12 workshop.
